Cheesy old genre movies that you like anyway

Flash Gordon
I just love Flash Gordon. He saved every one of us!

Red Sonja's got to be close to the top of my list of movies I'll watch even though they're really really bad.

Sword & the Sorcerer
Red Sonja
Conan the Destroyer
Mazes and Monsters
Hawk the Slayer

I'd add Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I've never seen it outside of a live performance . . .

The Black Hole was the first movie I was ever allowed to go to by myself. Think I may have to rent it this weekend.
The first one I remember seeing by myself was The Black Cauldron. For years and years that was a kind of Holy Grail for me to see that again. And then, of course, it was released about 6-7 years ago, and I bought a copy. And absolutely hated it. Thought it was the most ridiculous thing I had seen in years and couldn't believe I had built up all this hype about it in my head.

Funny thing, though, my kids think it's great. :\ Oh well, hopefully that means they'll grow out of it, and in turn remain fans of good fantasy fiction...

Yeah, I saw Star Wars six or seven times in theaters in '77. Never by myself, though. I was only 5. ;)

And I take back what I said earlier; I actually saw The Fox and the Hound by myself four years earlier, when I was nine or so. I saw The Black Cauldron with a friend of mine.
