I want to do the painting seminar again in one of the lunch spots. I will write up a description later and I will take up to 6 people although even 4 is too many for me to teach at once :p

Hi everybody!

Well, here are my submissions for this Game Day. I will run any two of the following events. I am leaving it up to you guys to tell me what two events sound like the most fun (i.e. will get people to sign up BEFORE the event :) ).

Awaiting the Dawn / Chapter 1: The Prophet of Benuvale
D&D 3.5 Alternate world setting (some house rules)

Benuvale was once a quiet, peaceful village. It was know for its lush crops but, when not a single Benuvalen farmer came to the Royal Harvest Festival to show their wares, rumors began. Rumors of curses and misfortune plaguing the village, of an unknown priest holding them at bay, and of many unnatural deaths; rumors that simply do not add up to anything good.
Join a young Inquisitor and his companions in the first chapter of their story. (10th Level PCs provided)
6 players

Allied Avengers Assemble!
Silver Age Sentinels D20 system (GOO) (some home rules)

During the conclusion of the 19th century, strange reports began to appear across the world of people who could crush boulders barehanded, lift trains over their heads, and even fly through the air like a bird! None of these reported sightings were ever given much credence until the emergence of super-humans during World War One. Since that time, several exceptional people have come forward and revealed their unique abilities in the to protect the innocent, to up hold the ideals of their nation, or for profit and fame. With Germany’s declaration of war upon the world and Hitler’s unveiling of his Ueberstahl armored vehicles and troops, Great Britain has called upon the heroes of the Allied nations to fight for freedom!
Join in a “Golden Age” style romp through an alternate history World War Two! A plethora of Heroes will be provided.

Till death due us part...
D&D Oriental Adventures (d20, 3.0) (NON-L5R)

The wedding of a young nobleman is a time of joy for the entire community but, not in the village of Xian Hue. Strange events have followed the wedding at the Great house of Yuag Te family: the processional cart and entourage were found abandoned halfway to the village from the estate, the wedding guests have yet to return, and eerie sounds drift across the paddies from the estate every night. With the village in the grip of terror, the local magistrate has put out that call for a band of monster hunters to come discover the fate of the Yuag Te family.
Join in a mythic Chinese adventure! 7th level characters will be provided.
6 players

And now, something completely different!
Play test: Dragon Dice RPG! (loosely based on the d20 OGL)

That’s right! It’s not a misprint! Come and try my completely unofficial Dragon Dice Role Playing Game! Come join the heroes as they brave untold danger, death defying peril, and untested game mechanics! Marvel at the handful of pretty polyhedrons you’ll get to roll instead of a boring old d20!
Character and dice provided. No experience necessary (or awarded).
6 players.

I'm keeping this in mind, yes. Hopefully, though, the large response is due to the mailing list being notified about the thread. There are close to 90-100 subscribers.
That and the fact that this poll has been on the news page all day.

Last time was great! I might've missed it, but did those notes ever go up on the web? I lost mine shortly after the event and forgot how to make the paint thinner, although I have been working with something from Adiken that works nicely.

In honor of HERO sweeping the Ennies this year (woo!), I submit the following event for the morning slot:

Littleton
HERO Sidekick
Being a teenager in a small farm town isn't easy. Chores, homework, peer pressure, the opposite sex... battling aliens, stopping pyrokinetic kids from burning down the school, and trying to prevent the gym teacher from eating your dad's brain. Oh, and you're flunking math! Rough, dude.

A HERO Sidekick adventure. Rules will be taught; no prior HERO experience necessary. Be sure to birng a lot of d6s. :)

If there is space, please add me me in. I just picked up Sidekick at Gencon, in hopes of running a game in the fall.

HOLY COW! Before the game listings are barely complete, I see two that I want in on! (Hint: HERO and minis painting). Reid, your "Allied Avengers Assemble!" game sounds darn tempting to me, too.

Suggestions:
1. Coordinating with WOTC for Play D&D Day sounds like a smart plan to me- it seems totally likely that they will have giveaways, etc. to encourage that anyway, and bringing in new players (D&D in this case) should be part of the purpose of GameDay anyway- especially to Games Plus. ;) If that makes this one more D&D focused than others, I suspect that will be fine for most attendees.
2. Request help from attendees. Most folks are willing to help out I bet, but might need direction on what would be useful. Maybe some could bring snacks, some help with ads, some contact game companies for prizes, etc. To put my money where my mouth is- I will be donating some prizes, and happy to help with other stuff- let me know. rowport (at) yahoo (dot) com.

The OA and SAS adventures sound pretty cool to me, but feel free to run whatever you want. Just let me know so I can add them to the event list. :)

Hey, I've already got a player! :D

To keep it on the up-and-up, though, sign-ups will have to wait for the official sign-up thread, s100bus.

Yeah. thalmin, what's the story on this? If we don't need to move Gameday, can we find a DM or two to run the adventures WotC is giving out? That'd be pretty cool.

No, no! This is my fiefdom! Keep away! Me preciousss....

:p

Kidding. Help is always welcome. One of the simplest things people can do is to put a link to the sign-up thread (once it gets created) in their .sig, especially if they frequent other gaming forums. Other than that, I'm open to suggestions.
