D&D 4E Chris Perkins announces major Eberron changes for 4e

If tieflings and dragonborn are placed in Eberron, the former is in the Demon Wastes and the latter is in Q'barra (or maybe, just maybe, Droaam) I am betting. Nothing else makes sense if the core of the game is in Khorvaire.

If their from Khorvaire, but I think it would make sense if they came from Argonnessen (being the land of dragons and all).

I think you're right about Tieflings. As Eberron is today, the Demon Wastes is where I'd put them.

Dragonborn? Q'barra's a good choice, but I think Totem Beach (aka "Khorvarian Argonnessen") is better.

Edit: ...Kinda like the ninja guy above me suggested.

Agreed on Tieflings->Demon Wastes and Dragonborn->Seren/Argonessen.

You can even use the current tiefling explanation for Eberron, i.e. they occur spontaneously among births within manifest zones.

The problem with Seren/Argonessen is that there will be no community of dragonborn for characters. No dragonborn friends or relatives on Khorvaire. Logically, I bet that you are more likely to come across a dragonborn in the PoL setting than you are to come across someone from Seren in Khorvaire. Far more.

That would apply to someone playing a Seren barbarian (which is, after all, a valid choice). Other options would be to put some dragonborn in Q'barra, in the Talenta Plains (near the Graveyard), or maybe even as far north as the Frostfell.

Tieflings could be a remnant of the Age of Demons, in which case they would probably have come from Sarlona along with the humans.

New races

I'd think that the Dragonborn would either be in Argonesson, or Q'barra. Eberron already had one hidden under the mountains race (The Heirs of Dhakaan), there's no reason the Dragonborn could not have been in Q'barra all along and just been mistaken for a 'reclusive 4th race of lizardfolk' The could be enhanced by the dragons in ages past just that the coatls did to the Shalussakar.

For Teiflings, they've probably been there, just scattered. Something might organize them. I woudl guess that a Charismatic leader led Teifling groups out of the wastes to Droaam, but their arrival was unwelcome and they began to filter out into the world at large.

Eladrin, - I say they've been on Thelanis and have just recently been slipping through manifest zones. There's are probably a bunch in the Greensingers already.

Actually, the Graveyard would be a fair idea, I think. In the Core, after all, they were a desert empire. Perhaps even where the lizardfolk fully crossed the mountains into Q'barra, the dragonborn held back a little, living in the mountains and on the fringes of both sides.

I think they should just add a new continent for the dragonborn and tieflings. Call it Khamarro to reflect how cool 4wesome the new races are.

Edit: Can you believe I wasted my 2,000th post on ENWorld for this ridiculous comment?
