D&D 4E Chris Perkins announces major Eberron changes for 4e

I get the feeling that with the timeline not jumping forward, they will simply reboot the setting to include tieflings and dragonborn as always having been there.

Eladrin, - I say they've been on Thelanis and have just recently been slipping through manifest zones. There's are probably a bunch in the Greensingers already.
In one way, we already have the Eladrin/Elf split in Eberron, with the Valenar elves around. Valenar are martially inclined, whereas Aereni seem more cerebral. The "fey step" ability would be a bit weird though, but maybe it could be reconceived as taking a shortcut through the Shadowfell instead to demonstrate the Aereni link to necromancy.

If I recall correctly, there are also a goodly number of Tieflings in Sarlona. The ECS mentions that the inspired have a bit of demon blood in them.

Also, the Dragonborn will slide nicely into Q'barra where there are already tribes of "Lizard Men," and at least one dragon guarding something.

Weren't dragonborn already included in Argonessen? I thought they and the spawn of tiamat were added through Dragons of Eberron.

Gnomes. GNOMES. Gnomes are insane. Gnomes can *turn invis* once per encounter after they've taken dmg. They can also choose to roll "hide" instead of intialtive at the start of an encounter. Hello Gnome Rogue. And by "hello" I mean, "Please, for the love of god, stop stabbing me in the back." My friends quote was "Man, I hate gnomes! They're stupid! But now I can't stop picturing a pack of gnomes sitting in the trees doing the clicking noise that the Predators make in the alien movies. Stupid stealth gnomes. I'm going to have to play one."

Dear god, Zilargo just got a hell of a lot scarier. I mean, they were scary enough with the society built on 3e's gnomes, but these guys are awesome for Eberron.
