Christopher Walken, Song & Dance Man: Recent?

Thanks for the link, Mr Fidget! Man, that's a great video.

Sadly, for me on my 56k modem, it's just a series of postcards with skippy music playing in the background.

I remember it from PBS, and that was a cool clip.

Now I want to see Walken dancing in some movie. He should have had a song-and-dance routine in one of the Prophecy movies. :)

As you sure it wasn't Pennies From Heaven. It's over 20 years old, starring Steve Martin & Bernadette Peters, and it is not a happy film. But Christopher Walken does have a big tap number in it.

And that, in turn, is a fairly poor copy of the British miniseries of the same name from Dennis Potter, staring Bob Hoskins, which also is equally depressing.

Potter's better work, The Singing Detective (circa 1986, starring Michael Gambon) is coming out on DVD this tuesday. Ironically, a movie based on it is being released later this year starring Robert Downey Jr. and Mel Gibson. Potter wrote the screenplay (a neat task for a man dead for almos ten years), so who knows?

As for the "Weapon of Choice" video...well, that's pure gold.

Anyone know of any movies with Christopher Walken doing a song & dance routine?

The IMDB claims that Mr. Walken tries to work a little dance into every movie he does. I don't know how oftent hat translates into a full-fledged dance number lasting several minutes, but it certainly isn't a recent trait, as Walken's been working for decades.
