(OOC: Okay then, almost thought that was an adventure hook)

OOC: Nah, you usually have to wait longer than that. ;)

Don't worry, though, I have a hook coming in about two or three days... we might be able to squeeze you in. :)

"Thank you, Richard. I'd like get away from the current conversation as it is," Rinya replies sharply. She'll then head quickly upstairs.
Leaving Galwynn to his fit of pique, Keldar approaches Richard. "People seem touchy today," he says. "What in the conversation upset your friend, lady Starflower? She seemed not to appreciate my song earlier, either, though I sang it for her, and for my friend Rapture. Yes, it was my singing you heard. Actually, I'm working on a short rhyme, for another friend of mine." He nods his head backwards in the direction he walked from, then chants softly:

Hurrying to Covington,
Swiftly through the grass,
I saw a grouchy paladin,
With a stick stuck up his –
Ask me his name,
Ask me it quick,
They call him Galwynn,
But Galwynn is a –
Prickles on the bushes,
Fruit on the trees,
Halina must be desperate,
With servants such as these.

He winks and puts a finger to his lips.

OOC - off to bed; no one kill Keldar while I'm asleep :p

Galwynn snarls and looks up at the rafters once more. "I bet you found that particularly funny, didn't you? You probably sent him here, didn't you?"

Galwynn shakes his head. "I would like to check this Covington place out, in any case. After all, it does have a large church for Halina's faithful. And maybe I'll bring the tone-deaf bard with me, so I can push him in front of a wagon on my way."

OOC: Thought your PC was a 'he', Rystil, hence the "sir". I take it back.

Rapture winces at the word slave being batted around and grows quiet.
Rystil Arden said:
"It is a corrupt system. It seems there is little that can be done for them," Lasair replies, "Curious...I had thought that in these Western lands, this word 'sir' is used as a substitute for male names only? Or am I mistaken?"
Rapture recites, as if from a script she has memorized painstakingly, "M'lord or m'lady is the polite way to refer to gentleman or lady to make them feel special and noble. Sir and madam or lady are also acceptable, but more common. Names are used only by request."

If you're going to visit Covington sometime, let me know. I have an interest in perversions of religion. It's kind of interesting to see how people twist a faith to suit their own interests. Not that I approve of it, but such arrogance can be fascinating in a way. Especially how such people react when they get caught.

"Ah," says Keldar. "Ah. Why bother to visit Galwynn's village, when I apparently have given myself enough rope already?"
Rapture smiles, "No need. Tis better to judge by the content of a person than by their title or profession, tis it not?"

Keldar turns. "I know an invitation when I hear one!" he calls. "Halina and Keldar agree! Our fates are intertwined. We shall do great deeds together, Galwynn. And have no fear, I will be sure to sing of them afterwards!"

Wik said:
"Absolutely. If they are, indeed, true." Obviously ignoring Keldar, he turns to look at Lasair. "I mean no offence, sir, but justice cannot be served by following the word of only one taverngoer. I think a trip to this Covington to investigate matters, though, would be a good idea. If only we could arrange suitable transporation..."

[sblock=potential GMs]Ha. Anyone want to run a PbP trip to Covington?[/sblock]
[sblock=OOC]Ahh, the lovely musings of Lasair on Festival of Halina, an adventure I ran.

Anyone who worships Halina has probably heard of the Festival of Halina in Covington, a festival celebrating the harvest of the year.

Wik, your paladin would know of the festival. It's in Halina's writeup. Perhaps he just forgot ;)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Oh, I've read about Halina's festival, and i'm familiar with it. I just thought Lasair was on the ball when she said that there was still a corrupt mayor in the town, twisting Halina. Which is, of course, something Galwynn would jump on.[/sblock]
