After telling her tale, substantially similar to the one she told in Common openly earlier, Taelythenihel continues, "Haurach? usv - ah, I do not believe there is a word in Draconic for this, a mistake - usv urathear vaeri?" She fixes Ruud with her strange violet eyes. "Wux levethix, wux othokent..." she goes on, rapidly.
[sblock=Draconic]"Fate or a mistake or the jest of a god? You are a wizard, you are intelligent. I hope you will consider this situation coldly. I do not understand why it happened, but because she came when I called, she is my responsibility. If it was meant to be, then I would learn the reason why.[/sblock]"Munthrek ocuir nurh thurgix aesthyr, shar Ossa.... kaegro. Thric arithurirl kaegro, shar vethiossa. Axun, kear arirthos, ariruudirthos. Renthisj thric, valeij."
[sblock=Draconic]"The people here see an ugly crippled woman, but Ossa... is undead. I have no dealings with the undead, except my Ossa. Yes, now, my secret is known to you. Speak not of it, I beg."[/sblock]

Kol simply shrugged at the incomprehenible conversation going on and went back to drinking his ale. It sure doesn't sound too different from how those Lizard warriors grunted at me, He frowned at the thought, then visibly shook the thought from his mind as if trying to wake himself up. I almost had to eat those things. Chugging the rest of his ale as if to get a bad taste out of his mouth he ordered another round and looked around at those near him.
"So what tales of deeds done? Any successful ventures about?"

OOC: Don't worry, I think it's done, bar Ruud's response. Important and necessary character development for Taelythenihel. :p

"A question, I, as an elf, often asked myself, as I was taught to use both longsword and longbow in my childhood, a hundred years ago and more. I have scarcely touched either in decades."

Ruud nods in understanding and points out his own dagger and crossbow, "Indeed, I strive for the knowledge of all problems to be settled with the proper spell. But ... my old master Gilda (quick glance over the shoulder) always thought one should be armed just in case."

OOC: Combining Ruud's response from this post and the previous one.

BIC: Ruud listens raptly, occasionally sneaking glances at the servant woman. When the elf woman finally finishes, Ruud continues in draconic, "Zast. Reedciv dweeg zessstin ....."

[sblock=Draconic]"Amazing. This is truly a marvel of the arcane and your secret is safe with me. I've never heard of something like this, although I cannot say that my knowledge of magic is complete. I must deliver further bad news. Although my master was an abjurer, I found that my talents lay in illusion magic. I have excelled at that, but I must admit that I preferred to ignore the lessons my master tried to give me regarding necromancy. They always seemed to give me nightmares. So there is little I could add to your knowledge of the undead."

Knowledge (religion) roll: 1 + 4 = 5. [/sblock]

"Nothing much," Rinya replies nonchalantly, "killed a landshark, met a dragon, recieved portents of some Great Evil. What have you been up to?"

Kol looked impressed at the mention of a dragon. "Nothing so high calibre. Got in the middle of a Lizard Man and Orc war when treasure hunting....They both lost, and I have myself a Magick Ax to show for it." He hefted the Battle Axe onto his shoulder and displayed it proudly. "Though the orcs and lizards weren't as dangerous as some of our own party members." the Barbarian added, his mercurial emotions twisting his features into a grimace for a moment then back to one of pride.

Elthic simply grunts. "Trying to get some 'deeds done' as we speak. Damned near impossible to find work in this town, though. Tried to hire myself off to the army, and all I got for it was a night in jail! I guess I should watch my mouth, a bit."

He muses to himself for a moment. "Tell someone you are good with locks and mechanical devices, they instantly think you're some sort of thief. Tell 'em you can handle a blade, and they think you're a murderer... tell 'em you're a dwarf, and they think you're a drunk."

He raises his mug in a salute. "At least they got one right, eh?"

Taelythenihel smiles. "I had forgotten; we need not speak in the language of the arcane in order to have a private conversation. Though I wonder if we share any other more obscure tongues?" She slips a hand into her spell pouch, speaks a few short words, and points a finger at Ruud. [sblock=Spellcraft DC 15] Casting Message[/sblock]Thereafter she mouths words almost silently.
[sblock=Silent speech, direct to Ruud] "Thank you, Ruud. It is a relief merely to share the situation with someone. I am tired of hiding and purposeful ambiguity. Would you believe that shortly before you arrived I created a figment of Ossa, walked it about the inn, spoke to it - and finally had its hood fall back to reveal the scarred burned face of a young human woman - all to create a justification for Ossa's concealment? It perhaps made matters worse. Several of those present saw through the illusion.
"I admit I have specialised in spells that arcane theoreticians class as necromantic in nature. But I swear I do not have the knowledge or power to animate the dead. I will allow you to inspect my book if you wish proof. If I were to gain the knowledge, I do not think I would use it. When a mage wreathes an enemy in fire or lightning, that is regarded, as an act of magic, as morally neutral. I instead might rob him of his strength briefly, or cause him to flee in fear, so that he need not be fought or harmed at all. And for that, I am suspected of evil. Why should it be any more so? And yet, the arrival of a skeleton where I called a weasel has left me shaken, suspecting that perhaps there is some deep link between such spells and undeath, nevertheless."[/sblock]Taelythenihel speaks aloud. "Again, I thank you. Will you tell me more of yourself, Ruud von Nistelrooy? Tell me of your goals in life."

Ruud shrugs and spreads his hands, "At the moment, my goals are quite humble. I am hoping to find some employment and heard this was the place to go. I'm hoping to save up enough funds to buy the materials for summoning my own familiar, although I must admit I am a little worried at the moment." Ruud says the last part with a smile, so the elf woman does not take him serious.
