Class Help

Could you do Factotum from Dungeonscape (I think)? Pretty cool skill-monkey class.

Rogue / warblade (ToB) would be cool since you could do a Dex / Int build.

I still think a Drow is the way to go. That would shake up the party a bit. Even a drow rogue would be cool --> +2 Int, +2 Dex.

If you are serious about the rogue/monk, I suggest you take 1 level of Monk, ditch the TWF (since you now have FoB), and take Ascetic Rogue from Complete Adventurer instead.
Get a high Wis score to up your AC. Do NOT take additional levels in Monk (the additional bonusses do not compare with the Rogue class abilities you get).
The Ascetic Rogue will allow you to do Unarmed damage as a Monk of your rogue+your monk lvl.

In addition, there is a difference in the Table short-text and the Feat description. If your DM is lenient enough, he may also allow you to pick up the monk level(s) for Sneak Attack progression.
If that is the case, taking additional Monk levels MIGHT just be worth it.....
If BAB is you concern about limiting the character's monk level to 1, remember that until 5th level monks loose another point of BAB. If skills are a concern however then limit it to 1 or 2 levels.

There is a free feat for monks at level 2, it can be Combat Reflexes, Deflect Arrow or Fiery Fists. Fiery Fist is located in the Players Handbook II (page 79) and can be the second level bonus feat per the special of the feat. It allows you to add +1d6 fire to damage of unarmed attack but it uses a Stunning Blow attempt up.

Alternate Idea:
If you choose to keep you stats the way they are then take a look at Swashbuckler from Complete Warrior (page 11-13). It is an under powered class until you add the Daring Outlaw feat from Complete Scoundrel (page 76). This allows you to add together rogue level with swashbuckler level for sneak attack, and the swashbuckler abilities of Grace and Dodge. 3rd level rogue qualifies you for the sneak attack requirement of the feat, the second level of swashbuckler will meet the rest of the feat's requirements.

The Swashbuckler has a fighter's BAB, 1d10 hit points, 4 skill points per level, good fort saves. Its abilities are Weapon Finesse feat, Grace +1 to +3 (bonus to Ref saves), Insightful Strike (add Int to damage as a precise damage bonus w/light weapons), Dodge Bonus +1 to +4 (works like dodge feat and stacks with dodge feat), Acrobatic Charge (charge over difficult terrain), Improved Flanking (+4 to attack), Luckly (one free reroll of an attack, skill, ability, or saving throw), Acrobatic Skill Mastery (take 10 on jump and tumble at any time), Weakening Critical (critical do 2 points of STR damage), Slippery Mind (reroll failed will saves one round later).

. I like the sound of this and I will look into it to see if it is something I might want to do.

The Insightful Strike is very nice in that you can do it any time you are using a weapon the can be affected by weapon finesse. You do not need to flank to pull it off and it will stack with sneak attack and a STR bonus. But like any precise damage bonus it does not work on constructs, plant, undead, elementals and the like.

Ok, I have looked at this idea and it sounds really fun. What would you suggest for race? I would like to stick elf or half elf because then my party still has the all elf them, even though we didnt plan it that way, but I know that human is probably the best pick. And would you go 3 or 4 lvs of rogue and do you have any ideas for helpful feats?

if you want to be different/clash/be in contrast/stand out for ? reason you want different but remain elf...

Warlock
Warlock / Rogue get a sneak attack with your ranged touch attack
Psion telepath
Psion seer more of a investigator role

the following 2 dont stand out as much

3rd scout
wild elf 2barbarian /1fighter

half elf's get the bonus to social skills, diplomacy gather info thats going to be beneficial to the swash/rogue daring outlaw build. The other reason I had mentioned warlock is they have invocation called beguiling influence (?) that gives a +6 to diplomacy, intimidate and bluff rolls at will and it last 24 hours = always on. thats +18 skill points all in very swashbuckler'esk skills. And when you get to imp feint that bluff ck to flank & sneak attack is very nice!

Swash/rogue/warlock...not optimal, but kinda cool nonetheless!
