Well, not cleaning exactly. Maybe winnowing just a bit.
I decided that while we were in New Albany visiting my dad, we would run over to the Book and Music Exchange in Louisville and see what kind of trades we could get. I basically cleared my shelves of almost all of my D&D 2nd edition sourcebooks, plus a few other games I didn't expect to play (such as Exalted).
So, I ended up getting $45 in trade, for which I picked up Alternity PH and GM Guide, the Alternity Dark Matter sourcebook (which is right up my alley) and a couple books for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG.
I think when we go down this weekend, I will go through again with a critical eye and see which games I really don't need to be keeping. I suspect Vampire 2nd and 3rd edition will be the next to go. Maybe Deadlands and Deadlands D20? Everything Palladium? Dare I ditch my D6 Star Wars material? How about D&D 3rd edition? I will keep 3.5, but will I ever again play 3rd edition? I doubt it.
Maybe I will just go through the shelf looking for things that cause a twinge of sentimental value. No twinge? See what I can get for it.
