Cleave

So, can we split this off into a slightly different direction than bag-o-rats?

If the fighter is taking on two non-minions. Say a pair of Dragonshields, for instance. If he uses his cleave attack on the first and pings the second for 3 damage, can he mark both of them? My inclination is to say no, because he didn't attack the second Dragonshield, he only splashed it with damage. On the other hand, he damaged it, so he did sort of attack it.

As I read it the damage is automatic, which is indeed silly (when you look at it from any point of view OTHER than the player playing the fighter, of course), but it's fast at least. And not that much damage that it's gonna do a lot of difference.

Fortuneatly attack of... er, opportunity attacks can be done an infinite number of times in a round. New wizard spell... heard of small animals that run in a straight line. Fighter gets an attack of... er, opportunity attack for each as it runs by doing automatic damage to the dragon. Dead dragon as the fighters sword becomes an infinite blur.
