Heya, folks. How are you all? I just got home from a fireworks display which was really good fun. Updated LJ, checked my boards and email.... what am I missing?

Okay boys'n'girls of the Hive... gimme your imaginative help

I'm working on the symbiotes section of the Biothaumaturgist's Handbook, and want lots of cool things in it.

From the bubbling flesh-vats and sinister arcanogenetic laboratories of biothaumaturgists comes more than just fleshtwisted monsters and bizarre magical spells. The truly bizarre category of creations called symbiotes is also a product of their eldritch studies, living organisms that bond either spiritually or physically with their user, creating a unique relationship between the two. From living carapace armour to blood elementals flowing through the circulatory system, symbiotes depend upon their host for protection, nutrition and life, usually siphoning off blood or psychic energy to sustain themselves, while performing some useful function in return for this.

So... gimme cool names for symbiotes! I don't care about actual concepts, just names for things, and I'll see if I can work them into a concept and stat 'em up

Uh... Sadly I've got a *lot* of work to do on it yet. I've yet to get the 1st draft put together, though it's coming together now.

I'd ideally like it to be print. I'm gonna have to look around for a print publisher who might be interested in doing it, though I think I'll at least get a draft done before I start on advanced procedures like that Hopefully if Steam & Steel does well I'll have an easier time with it.

well, it's a great concept, and also very original, which is something generally pretty important to publishers
Also, maybe some sort of psionic symbiote in the brain, would be cool, but I'm afraid I can't help much with names

Wish I did; it's really all in EN Publishing's hands, and I've been given no more concrete a date than beginning of/early December. However, I *am* hearing that the art is very promising so far!
