CMP to Release Interactive Atlas of Eberron

Yup. Codemonkey Publishing, notable for maintaining E-Tools after the Fluid mess, is going to release The Interactive Atlas of Eberron. They have it up on their Friday Update section:
Wizards of the Coast has graciously granted us permission to work with their new campaign setting in order to kick out a new toy of our own for it. Sadly, it won’t have the fancy dragon flying overland (for you to pick what areas to look at) like the old Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas did. It’s all about function and ease of use here, not flash and flare... But it will be expandable!

CMP Products

I have e-tools and some of the data sets. I love CMP's products and the effort they put into them so the Atlas looks to be a great thing.

I also noticed their Interactive adventures when I followed your link.....which I would love to get....BUT...I find it hard to justify spending that kind of money on their products which are essentially nice-to-haves. I.e., I love the Sunless Citadel Interactive Adventure concept, but $30 for something I can run pnp for a third of the price seems like a luxury. Granted they need to make their money and the coding takes man-hours...but I just cant pull the trigger.

I hate the economic reality of pursuing a niche hobby!

Yeah, I'd be willing to spend $30 on the program, and $10-15 on each adventure, but $30 for each adventure is just to steep for me.

In some instances the interactive adventure comes with material not found in the module. For example, The Forge of Fury includes the local town mention in the module fully mapped and npc stat'ed. That is not in the module. Also, each interactive adventure comes with printable Battle Maps for mini's use.

Also, The entire adventure is user editable as the adventure itself is html and the maps are campaign cartographer based.

I'll probably buy the adventures for the maps alone. :D

Eberron Maps

I don't want to hijack fanboy's thread too much...I think the Eberron maps are needed and CMP will do a great job with them...I definitely plan on getting that one. It's just when I saw the interactive adventures I REALLY wanted to get that. I just didnt think their were enough extras to justify the additional $30 for a module I already own. If there were more things like the town maps (combined etools module pack with the IA then I'd be sold)!

Preview

Code Monkey Publishing put-up a map of Khorvaire as a preview of their announced "Interactive Atlas of Eberron" from their site:
The full-size image weighs in at around 11,000 x 6,500 pixels, so it's a BIG map, just waiting to be fully populated. More updates on that progress as we get them.
It's at the bottom of the post.
