I want to thank everyone for their surport, I'm going to visit her soon. The lung has started to reinflate, which is good but painful. No explanation yet.

What sort of fluid are they draining?

Not fluid, its air. :\ weird.

I'm glad she's on the mend, but what a crazy thing to happen! Do they know what caused it?

It was just a weakness in the lineing of the lung, it spontaneously gave way. This was so odd that she had random doctors coming in and marvelling at the X-rays.

But she's much better then I expected, I would have thoughtthat a collapsed lung could be fatal, but its not. She is in a good mood, drinking coffee, and eating so nothing to worry about.
