Combat Advantage

Hi
I seem to be search challenged so I apologize if this has been asked. Does fey step grant combat advantage?

Can an Eladrin Rogue fey step behind someone and smack them?

Does Feystep cause an OA?

Thanks for any assistance.

Fey Step does not grant combat advantage, it just lets you teleport. To get combat advantage you'd have to teleport into a stealthy location, flanking position, etc.

Fey Step is a teleport and doesn't provoke an Opportunity Attack. Just teleporting behind someone doesn't give you Combat Advantage, though, since perception is considered to be 360° in combat.

The only real use you'd get from this tactic is to flank an enemy.

You can use it to teleport behind a guard outside of combat, and start a surprise round with combat advantage though. Outside combat you aren't considered to have 360° vision. You would need to roll stealth vs perception anyway. (In 3.5 that would be move silently vs listen).
