Community supporter account expiring?

Now, my sense of time is about as good as a that of a feebleminded slaad, but I realized that it's probably been substantially more than one year since I got my CS account. Probably closer to two than to one. Did I get an extension for the donation some time ago? More important - do people get a reminder when the account is actually about to expire?

Anyone who got their account before July 1st 2003 will see their accounts expire on July 1st this year. It's only as of that date that I'm able to trace start dates, so those who got them before then got lucky!

Anyone who got their account on or after July 1st 2003 will get the correct amount - one year exactly.

Emails go out a few days before an account expires.

Maybe send out a batch first of May, first of june and also first of july. That way those who get them a bit early might just submit them early.

When our account expires we obviously lose the abilty to change our nickame.

But will it stay as the last nickname set? Or will it revert to Registered User, or Expired Supporter, or something.

I bought mine on my birthday last year, so I need to pay again in two weeks. Makes it easy to remember.
