But what about the PONY? The pony was still goofy.

Lol, exactly. Who says there's nothing goofy about monguls? I can just imagine those monguls riding their little ponies with little ribbons in their braided hair. :)

Dogs can fight better than ponies, so they make better warmounts. Done.

Ponies don't spend half the battle sniffing each others' butts, though.

OK, got me on that one.

As for the Ghost-faced Killer, it is most likely a revised version of the Sword & Fist PrC, which IIRC was called the ghostwalker. It was pretty much Clint Eastwood's "High Plains Drifter" character made into a class.

Sounds good on paper, but dedicating 10 levels to getting revenge on some guy who killed you is a pretty limiting career path. Then again, that's what revisions are for.

I'm very pleased to see that some of the better classes from Masters of the Wild made it into CV. However, I'm not certain why a class like the Tempest or Streetfighter are in this book and not Complete Warrior.

IIRC, Ghost-Faced Killer was from WAY back, in the Dragon issue that came out around OA's release. Okay, maybe that's not WAY, but it's been a while. It was some sort of assassin class.

Sigh...thief-acrobat's in? Oy.

Ever been kicked by a pony? True, a dog's got sharp teeth and can go for the groin, but they generally can't knock you unconcious with one blow. I think Saturday morning cartoons has more to do with the pony's reputation than fact.

Speaking of Saturday morning cartoons...where's the love? Don't you remember Diana?

Yep. I identified with Bobby, the Barbarian. Strangely, I haven't played a barbarian...

But, no, the thief-acrobat severely disappointed me. I was hoping it could do funky cool wuxia moves (like, say, Blade Dancer and Ninja Spy, with their Acrobatics ability)...but, no, instead it can run along walls. (shakes head)

Ponies just means a small horse not a youg horse and riding dog's are like labs not war dogs which are like wolfhounds. The theif-acrobat is that a base class like in 1st ed. or a prestige class?
