No one has heard anything from us at all since before the announcement of 4e. We've been mulling over doing Complete Denizens of Avadnu for some time, and a lot of people have emailed us and commented on our blog, so we are going to release it in the next week or so.

Complete Denizens of Avadnu will contain all of the monsters from Denizens of Avadnu with errata applied, all of the web enhancements, the epic monsters from Legends of Avadnu, the monsters and mundane animals from The Broken Isles Lorebook and 3 monsters from The Black Wind (a module penned by Wil Upchurch that will be one of our first releases for 4e).

Currently the book stands at 260 pages, though this will grow a bit once I add the table of contents and the various appendices. It will be extensively bookmarked for ease of use, and include a few pieces of art that haven't been published before. Jason Rosenstock is back once again as our cover artist, and you can see an in progress picture of our new cover below.

In the coming days you'll also hear us weigh in on the whole 4e announcement and the GSL as well as our tentative plans for world conquest in the coming year.

Woot!!! This is great news indeed! I can't wait to see this book!

Announcements like this make me think that the best is still to come for 3.5E. :)

Is there going to be a print version of this book, or is it only going to be a PDF book?

Considering that I still have almost half of the print run of the original DoA in a friend's garage? Just PDF unfortunately. If print is your thing, we are going to do a crazy sale on our remaining stock of the original DoA at the same time as Complete DoA is released. Probably cheaper than $10 a book.

Print is my thing. I like PDFs too, but I don't have access to the "resources" (i.e credit card, paypal, etc.) needed to buy electronic books.

Quick question: Did you get this printed and sent to you? Maybe you should have tried a publisher with a warehouse, or tried to see the bunch off to amazon (they buy crazy large stock)

And did you try to get it printed in China, where it would have been cheaper?

Fantastic! This almost brings a tear of joy to my eye.

D20 Freeport Companion made it. CDoA is on it's way. :D

Is it too much to hope that The Game Mechanics' Arcane Quarter will pull through as well?

No. At the time our distribution partner was Impressions Advertising and it was housed at the Chessex Warehouse in Fort Wayne. After 2 months (which is the warehouse life for any print RPG book) we had to drive out there and pick up our remaining stock.

Amazon? They buy like 2 books at a time. I don't know where you get the idea that they purchase crazy large stock. Maybe from Wizards of the Coast, Paizo, or some of the other companies. I work out of my house. I actually stopped selling through Amazon because it was a pain to ship them 1 book every week. What I made in sales, I spent in shipping. Was a real joke (at least for us).

We had it printed in Thailand, so we saved a ton there. I can go on about what happened and why we didn't succeed, but I've said it before. You can probably do a forum search on it so you can see all of the circumstances that lead to our failure.
