Conan RPG - Is 2nd edition substantially different from 1st edition?

I've got several of the 1st edition Conan RPG books. I keep eyeballing the 2nd edition version of the RPG. Is the 2nd edition drastically different to warrant the new version and is it better than 1st edition? What are the real differences between the two?

Also, 2nd edition is B&W, with different border art. Not sure about all the other art. Watch out for the earlier printings, too - they'll fall apart. More recent printings are apparently fine, however.

edit --- Oh, but make sure that if you're going with 1e, you use/buy the Atlantean [revised] version.
