Now, here's a question- could you get a Portable Hole that has the same amount of space in it as normal, but whose max opening size is, say, no larger than your hand?

If so, what's to stop someone from embroidering one into their gloves/gauntlets and slight-of-handing anything nearby of Tiny size or smaller into oblivion? (Imagine if it was on a Kender.)

That's a custom job, you'd be charged extra for the delicate work, but a hole in your glove is totally within reason...

One thing that I never understood was why there is a difference in the capabilities of a Portable Hole and a Bag of Holding in the first place. The spells involved are the same, and both are made of cloth, but the Bag of Holding costs more to create and is somehow vulnerable to being rent from within when the Portable Hole is immune to that, and has specific rules for creatures stored within when the BoH does not.

I think the portable hole may have been invented by someone who was unhappy with the bag of holding...
