LOTS of nominations for what I have seen to be the best of the NWoD so far. Congrats to White Wolf and keep up the good work. Now if only the rest of the NWoD felt like the new versions had been revitalizations instead of just destruction

Really? I felt that the new Vampire was exactly what the game needed - a much cleaner, cooler and DARKER version of the game. Of course, I've been running Vampire since the month it first hit stores.

That said, the new Changeling is a lot more to my taste than the prior version(s).

Glad you enjoy it. I wasn't a fan of lots of things changing just for the sake of change (things like a clan or an ability having an old name w/a completely different function) more than any real positive change. I will freely admit I'm basing my opinions on the core books of each setting. My wife loves Changeling tho and she has all the new (and most of the old) books now. Plotting ideas for a Changeling game when she isn't planning how to kill us all in 4E ;)

One of these days I'm going to have to straighten you out on the brilliance of old Changeling :D

New Changeling is a very good game and one I am pleased to see other people also enjoying.

I primarily played Vampire and Mage in the oWoD, but I thought Changeling had some (unrealized) potential. That said, I've heard nothing but glowing things about the new game.

I think the entire nWoD line is great, too. I can see where some people would prefer the old setting (especially Mage), but I'm definitely more a fan of the new stuff.

Changeling the Lost is an amazing product line. One of the White Wolf folks -whose name escapes me at the moment - gave me a copy at GenCon last year (or rather refused to let me pay for it when I tried to buy it). And damn did they do a spectacular job, even to the point of not making me lament the lack of DiTerlizzi artwork at all. I will be dismayed if they don't walk away with some Ennies this year.

As for WoD vs nWoD, admittedly, I never had any exposure to the old WoD material except for after the fact, but by comparison of WoD to nWoD, I largely prefer nWoD, except for Werewolf. For whatever reason I haven't been able to really get into the nWoD version (and in a large way it might be the artistic style used in a lot of the new book, compared to the tons of Steve Prescott artwork in the old version).

I absolutely love the new Changeling. While I haven't been able to get a group together to play it I've bought every book out thus far simply because I love reading the fluff so much.

As others have said... keep up the good work!!!

Personally I love the new Mage. Much cleaner and straightforward. In old Mage we'd get into arguments about Sphere's and successes needed to pull off an effect. That doesn't happen near as often IME with the new Mage. I also like the new setting better... you don't have the Ascension War forced on you. The game is wide open for the Storytellers to do what they want with it. No Nephandi, Marauders, or Technocracy as the built in boogeyman. ANYONE could be your enemy.

CtL is an incredible game and the folks at WW should be proud of what they have created. The system, story, support and new supplements have all been outstanding. I'm working both WtF and CtL into my ongoing MtAw game and I can't help but smile when I think about all the gaming goodness in those books.

For those of you who haven't played the game and are looking for an evocative and immersive RP game and setting, please do yourself a favor and take a look at Changeling.

On a side note, the Changeling the Dreaming was also a great game that is fun to play.
