Conquest on the History Channel in danger of cancellation?

Just for fun, I'm posting the e-mail I sent:

To the program director of Arts & Entertainment network:

It has come to my attention with quite some alarm that the Arts & Entertainment Network intends to cancel the Show Conquest. Please consider my plea NOT to cancel what is to me the best show on your network, and one of the few shows I watch on A&E.

The Show Conquest, and its host, Peter Woddward, give to me each season an exciting look into the world of Historical Weapons and Armor Development through the Ages, give it excitement and life, and present it in an easily understandable way. So many people do not understand and do not appreciate previous technological developments, nor the "whys" or "wherefores" of the past - The Battle of Hastings and the
Huscarl Axemen, and why they were both effective - and doomed to failure; Why the longsword (and its brother the Katana) was the pinnacle of weapons development for almost a millenia; what a neolithic hunter had to go through just for daily survival.

Conquest expounds all these and more. Please do not end such a fantastic show in its youth. KEEP PETER WOODWARD EMPLOYED and entertaining me!

Thank you for your time.

It is ok. Good on the Jr. High level of research. But He is at least honest on how much time is spend on some shows. Ex. 3 days for the bull riding.

It's a great show

It's one of my favorite shows on History Channel (you guys watch it on A&E?). My favorite show was when the host explained how the Saxons won battles using the axe. It was extremely interesting; all this time I thought the sword was more effective.

I'd love for the show to continue. There is one sore-point, however. They had a episode on Conquest in Las Vegas (how to win at gambling). It was an interesting episode, but it didn't seem to fit with the overall Conquest theme. I'd rather watched a similar show on Travel channel and then kept Conquest to its roots. I'll continue watching as long as they keep its focus.

A&E is the parent company for the History channel. (Discovery channel, TLC, Animal Planet and the Travel channel are all part of the Discovery networks.)

I was aware of the latter, not the former. Thanks! :D

I was just confused, since I haven't watched anything on A&E in years. History Channel I watch on nearly a daily basis.
