The obeah witch-women venerate the "little people of the forest". But few know that the mmotia, as they are known, are not nature spirits but a forest-dwelling variety of halfling. These people of the forest are known to disappear seemingly into thin air, contributing to their supernatural aura.
A mmotia stands 2' tall, and has black skin, red hair, and green eyes. Mmotia speak Common, Halfling and Sylvan.
COMBAT
The little people shy from combat and prefer to use their hiding skills to blend into the trees. But if forced, they will not hesitate to utilize their spell-like abilities. As a last resort, a mmotia forced into melee will use a piece of tree vine as a whip.
Skills: Mmotia have a +2 racial bonus to Hide and Wilderness Lore.

A mmotia's favored class is druid, and mmotia patriarchs (or matriarchs) tend to be either druids or druid/barbarians. Mmotia venerate the Spirit of the Forest, and can choose two of the following domains: Animal, Earth, Plant and Water.
The mmotia is converted from Monsters of Myth and Legend II (Mayfair/RoleAids 1989).
