Converting Greyhawk monsters

Hmm, I guess I can go with any living corporeal since Weapon Specialization will keep it to intelligent-enough types. And agreed to "any evil."

I'd think they'd have skills as the base creature, not as if their racial HD become outsider HD, since unlike half-fiends they are turned into fiends, not born fiends.

They need fire resistance, probably increasing with HD.

What about the "jazzing up" with Fear and Infernal Weapon SAs I suggested earlier?

What resistance and magic boosts shall we give them then? It starts out pretty weak at 10% but (according to rumour) goes up to "not to fear fire of any type" with immunity to anything short of dragon's breath.

I would like to have the level/HD steps a bit wider than the Demonic Knights of Doom's 4-5th / 6th-7th / 8-10th / 11th+ level. How about basing it on the Fiendish Template's 1-3 HD/ 4-7 HD / 8-11 HD / 12+ HD?

Hit Dice Special Abilities
4-7 . Fire resistance 5, infernal weapons (+1 Evil* weapon?)
8-11. Fire resistance 10, infernal weapons (+2 Evil* weapon?)
12-15 Fire resistance 15, infernal weapons (+2 Evil* unholy weapon?)
16+ . Fire resistance 20, infernal weapons (+3 Evil* unholy wounding weapon?)

I can agree to all the above suggestions and a static Intimidate bonus. If they want to get more Intimidating, they should spend ranks. Besides, a low-HD one is probably still pretty ugly. ;)

I was intending to use the "Any weapon..." text in the ability rather than the table list, but left it there so I'd remember it when we get around to writing it up.

Not much bothered which. Dynamic would be, say, twice the enhancement bonus of Infernal Attacks (+2 for 4-7 HD, +4 for 8-15 HD, +6 for 16+), Static would probably be +4.

EDIT: After thinking it over, I prefer the Dynamic approach to the fixed one, since I imagine the more powerful Knights might have a more fearsome air about them. However, I'd not be that bothered if you want to go the other way.
