I can live with that.

Updated.

Organization: Solitary or x (2-3)

A jishin mushi is 8 to 10 feet long, weighing x to x pounds.

I had some difficulty finding any information about the weights of beetles, but a bit of rummaging found the following - a stag beetle weighs at least 500mg and ranges from 25mm for the smallest females to 70mm to the largest males, a Hercules beetle larva may weigh 100-150g and grow up to 15 cm long, although 20-25g and 8-9 cm is more normal.

According to me rough reckoning, those numbers translate to weights of 1024-2000 lbs, 1365-2666 lbs and 1047-2557 lbs for an 8-10 foot long beetle of similar build.

Shall we call it 1000-2500 pounds?

I can't find anything specific for a group of beetles, but I like "rabble," which is supposedly a name for a group of insects. And Cleon's proposed weight range sounds great!
