Seems like not a whole lot to do. Just reduce a couple ability scores maybe?

We were going to trim the HD a bit as well, my rough draft was:
Duru (Male)
Huge Magical Beast
Hit Dice: 26d10+182 (325)
Armor Class: 32 (-4 size, +5 Dex, +8 deflection, +13 natural), touch 19, flat-footed 27
BAB/Grapple: +26/+46 [corrected]
Saves: Fort +30, Ref +28, Will +21 [includes Unearthly Grace]
Abilities: Str 34, Dex 20, Con 24, Int 27, Wis 21, Cha 27
I think I'd rather make them Gargantuan like the female.

Apart from that, they've just got fewer and lower-bonus hornbolts and their natural attacks do less damage. Maybe 2d8 bite and 1d8 hooves?

Giving them a two bolts to the female's six seems too big a drop in damage capacity, maybe make it four or the same number with the lower 2d6 damage?

Hmm, at the moment I prefer six 2d6+2 bolts.

Full Attacks: bite (2d8+12) and 2 hooves (1d8+6) or 6 bolts (2d6+2)

You say you like Gargantuan, but you have them Huge. Anyway, I prefer Gargantuan, too.

As for the bolts, the original was 3 2d6 bolts vs 6 3d6 bolts, right? Anyway, I can be persuaded on the strength and number of magic bolts, but I don't want to put a "+" on the damage since we didn't do that with the females.

Definitely Gargantuan.

We did put a "+" on it (due to the magic enhancement bonus) in the ability writeup. I forgot to note that on the attack lines, though.

For skills, just reduce the ranks in each skill by 6?

For feats, just remove 2 from the ch'i-lin's list? Only 2 can be epic, so we'll need to either change Epic Reflexes and Epic Will to their non-epic alternatives, and drop 2 other feats of any sort, or simply remove two of the epic feats.

Ch'i-lin Feats: Blind-Fight, Combat Expertise, Dire Charge, Epic Reflexes, Epic Will, Eyes in the Back of Your Head, Flyby Attack, Improved Initiative, Improved Trip, Knock Down, Superior Initiative

Oops! I put in the correct size adjustments to AC and grapple but forgot to include the actual "Gargantuan".

Easy enough to fix.

If I remember correctly, the original Duru only had two bolts.

I had thought 2 bolts at some point, but here's the text:

He fires only three magic bolts per round, which have a +2 to-hit bonus and cause 2-12 (2d6) points of damage.

Anyway, I'm on board for the +2 to attack and damage, but the question is how many bolts and how many dice. They should be somewhat less powerful, but I'm not sure how much.

Well I think the bolts should do less damage than the female's, but the original's just-under-one-third damage seems too low.

Two-thirds damage seems better, so maybe six 2d6+2 bolts or four 3d6 bolts+2?

We could settle on the kick & bite damage first so we have something to compare the bolt damage to.
