Converting Planescape monsters

I like the extended threat range, but then again I'm a big fan of critical hits. ;)

I'd settle for every hit/Will save though, since telekinesis allows a Will save.

Shall we wait to see which Freyar prefers? Assuming there are no other interested parties.

Down boys, down!

Sorry, busy at work and then a long weekend. Since it was my idea after all, I like using an extended threat range and having it trigger on a successful crit. ;)

Ok, something like:

Tail-Fling?? (Su): A ni'iath's tail-barb can create a gravity-manipulation field similar to the reverse gravity spell. If a ni'iath scores a critical hit on an object or creature of up to Huge size, the target is flung 100 ft. away. The ni'iath can gravity fling the target in whatever direction it chooses; if no strategically desirable direction exists the ni'iath flings the target in a random direction. During its flight, the flung object or creature feels no effects of gravity. At the end of its flight, the target again becomes sensitive to gravity and may take falling damage. The effect ends if the flung target hits an obstacle before travelling for 100 ft, but both the flung victim and the obstacle take 1d6? bludgeoning damage.

Just need to work out the threat range (18-20 or 17-20?) and the bludgeoning damage (stick to 1d6?).

I'd make it do the same damage as the tail slap I suppose.

Oh, and I like "Gravity Fling" for the name.

If we can get Shade to go along with Gravity Fling, then we're set. ;)

The original seems to have 1d3 claw damage and 1d4 tail-barb damage. I'd rather the fling do more than that, but we could do 2d4 if you want to keep the damage dice the same.

What do you think abou the threat range?
