Durn that HD-based limitation on skill ranks… 
I think I need to give it a straight Knowledge bonus.
Skills: (104 ranks)
Concentration 5, Decipher Script 5, Diplomacy 6, Gather Information 8, Hide 5, Knowledge (history) 8, Knowledge (the planes) 8, Knowledge (any three) 8, Listen 5, Move Silently 5, Search 5, Sense Motive 5, Spellcraft 5, Spot 5, Survival 5
Plus, Stealthy and all of this:
A noctral has a +8 racial bonus on Listen checks and a +4 racial bonus on Spot checks.
*When in flight, a noctral gains a +8 bonus on Move Silently checks.
*A noctral has a +8 racial bonus on any Knowledge check involving its home plane.
*In twilight, a noctral’s feathers grant it a +4 racial bonus on Hide checks.

Knowledgeable (Ex): A chronotyryn makes Knowledge checks for any Knowledge skills as if it had a minimum of 10 ranks in that skill. To surpass the 10-rank minimum, the chronotyryn must assign more than 10 ranks to the skill as normal.
well look, here's the problem with that. the noctral is but a 5-HD creature, meaning it cannot have more than 8 ranks, right? well, if we took that 10-rank minimum thing, that would give us +15 rather than +13. however, we'd be stuck at the +15, since a noctral cannot have more than 8 ranks (unless you advance it). get it?
