I like Vecna too much as a character to let a little thing like apotheosis get in the way of things, so I can't vote him off. But Farlaghnanjkhdglskhges the unpronounceable? He can take a long walk off a short pier.

weakest gawd name EVAR! - off please - But it looks like all the non-human gods will be voted out first. Not a surprise really, considering how humancentric I have found most D&Ders to be, although I prefer a race idependent pantheon myself...

How are others voting on this poll? By that I mean this: When I vote, I first look to see the current results. From there I see which deities are likely to be voted off. Then I determine which among them I would prefer to be voted off - ignoring any other deities, as a single vote isn't likely to count for much against twenty to thirty votes already elsewhere.

I presume others are doing the same, as every time I go to vote I see about 3-5 deities already have twenty+ votes, while less known deities typically have far fewer - whether they are well defined, etc or not.

So is everyone else checking out the results first before deciding which of the failing deities gets the potential tie breaking vote?

Personally I would prefer it if people wouldn't vote this way, as we would then have a truer representation of real opinions.

We're going to vote core D&D deities "off the island" as it were, until only one god remains.
Last Round, Lolth was kicked off for being responsible for the dark elf infestation that she has unleashed upon us, while Yondalla was kicked off for just being so damned annoying. Round before that, we lost Corellon Larethian and Garl Glittergold - and nobody really cared.

Kicking Lolth off before Kurtulmurk? C'mon get real.

I think the following gods make a good group:

Bahamut, Ehlonna, Lolth, Moradin, Nerull, Pelor, St Cuthbert, Tiamat, and Vecna.

You know, St. Cuthbert is one of my favourite D&D deities - I thought he'd be in the final five. My five "faves" are Wee Jas, Kord, St. Cuthbert, Fharlanghn, and Gruumsh. It'll be weird to see Mr. Cuthbert lose the vote, and it sounds like Kord might get booted fairly soon, too.

For the record, I vote right after I post the poll - I can't say I'm a fan of "strategic voting" or any of that.

Oh, and Round Four will be posted in about ten hours or so - I can't post it on Sunday (work and prep for exams), so I'm doing it a bit early. Just giving a heads-up

Not here. I just vote for the god I want to get rid of, period.

Fharlanghn, he's sooo dull. Gods can be many things, vengeful, proud, enigmatic. But dull is not one of the suitable traits for a deity.

Almost went for Vecna though, as I agree that he should be the shadowy boogeyman of D&D, not a god. Then again, at least he's interesting. :D
