I think this is the problem with Survivor-type elimination polls. Likely the ones to be eliminated first are those who universally invoke strong dislike. Then, unfortunately, the next to be eliminated are those who invoke strong, yet polarizing, opinions. The haters eventually outnumber the fanboys, and they're eliminated, and by the time we get to the final three or four, we get left with the mediocre, the bland, the "what the hell are they still doing here?" selections.
