You know, I just realized. Every deity left is lawful.

LG Heironious
LE Hextor
LG Moradin
LN Wee Jas

So, regardless of whether Moradin or Heironeous falls, we will have one of each Lawful alignment left. Interesting.

It's not that suprising. Deities in general reflect a more 'lawful' mindset, what with precepts and commandments to followers. You can still have Chaotic deities, but lawful ones make more intuitive sense.

Ok, why do you guys hate Moradin so much? Bad role-play experience?

Because it's a dwarf. Dwarves are the new Elves.

We hate Corellon much more, though.

No, we don't.

Settings without racial deities, or with few racial deities, are better than settings with them.

Nah.

Seriously, who do evil dwarves worship in Greyhawk? Either they have to pick a non-dwarven deity, or they have to pick some minor deity no one has ever heard of.

Or, they worship their own evil deity? Just because you don't know it doesn't mean no one has.

Abbathor's there. In fact, he should be the main dwarf deity.

Personally, I'm amazed that everybody seems to love Wee Jas, one of the most bland deities in the multiverse.
To hell with her!

Wee Jas bland??!! Is that compared to generic ravening Bad Guy gods like Hextor or generic chivalric Good Guy gods like Heironeous?

Wee Jas, goddes of Magic, Death, and Vanity, Lawful Neutral with a hint of Evil, is about the least bland god of all of them in the PHB. Calling her bland completely baffles me.

Corellon was voted off first. Yes we do. :D

Just what the setting needs, more deities.

You did see the comment about no one knowing who those deities are, right? Virtually no one has heard of them. If Abbathor was so important, he should be in the PH.

Abbathor's there. In fact, he should be the main dwarf deity.

Not while WotC believes most dwarves are LG.

Paladins are my favorite class, in concept if not in mechanics, and it always bugs me when the world designers stick in a god/dess who is clearly nothing more than a patron for paladins. Bye-bye, Heinous One.

How would you do it better? I'm serious -- I'm struck with the same problem in world design, and I'd like thoughts on this.
