Corporate Defiance

Krandor nods patronizingly at the gregarious human. "The thugss that Martech employs are cheap; but dont underestimate the elite troops; I saw one of their Division X Sssspecial Opsss take out three of our best hunterss ssssingle-handedly." He lets out a slow, quiet hiss; the Trandoshan equivelent of a disgusted sigh. "With a hold-out blasster."

Cydarius listens as his new cellmates talk. "Even the most skilled of us can be taken out by a thug with a lucky blaster shot. The wisest course is to never underestimate anyone."

Cydarius thinks for a few moments about Caine's remarks on choosing a leader, and then glances at Krandor. "I've both taken orders and given them in my career, and I am comfortable doing either." The man shrugs as he looks around at the rest of his companions.

"You're all here because this is perhaps the most secure safehouse Sector has for any of our cells here in Parsec VII," answers Caine. "As for what purpose... that I can't say, not yet. Believe me, though, you'll know when the time comes."

He looks over the team. "The opposite doorway leads to your combination workshop-garage-storage area, so you all have your own cordoned-off workspaces to do whatever you do. It comes complete with everything you'll need. You even have a medical facility of sorts, complete with a bacta tank and a 2-1B series medical droid rather aptly named 'Doc'.

"Your transport stored there as well. There's a lift that leads up to the rear of the secondary storage area for the Seventh Heaven, where you'll emerge -- we've tested it plenty of times before, and MarTech's aerial sensor probes aren't picking up on it. The transport will go in and out through there. Try not to bring MarTech down on your ears, or on Tifa's."

Caine taps some controls, bringing up a 3-D holographic view of a portion of Parsec VII. One particular structure stands out, which Caine gestures to. "For your first job as a new cell: this is one of the satellite branch offices of Gentech. They call it a hydroponics facility to keep Darkness's food supply steady, but rarely does Mikos Bordell tell the truth. If anything, we're convinced that he's doing far more than he's letting on. His ambition to try and become the newest MarTech head council member knows no bounds, and you can bet Dr. Gar'Finell doesn't look too kindly on losing out on even a small fragment of his prestige as the head of genetic development for MarTech with some upstart such as Bordell. As cozy as Gentech's been with MarTech over the years, we're certain that MarTech has a facility of their own beneath the Gentech front to do their own research.

"You'll leave at 2200 hours tonight. Cayla here will provide tech support from the transport you'll be taking. Your mission is to infiltrate the facility, specifically the subterranean MarTech levels, and retrieve any information available. Then blow that subterranean level up and destroy everything in it. MarTech security should be light, and it certainly won't be any of their Alpha Division troops -- probably some CIS droid models that MarTech gave Gentech as hand-me-downs for quick troop support. Maintain a low profile throughout, if possible. Anyone sees you, take them down, no questions asked."

Caine glances around at everyone. "If there are no questions, I suggest you get rested up and prepare for tonight."

Vincent sighs once again, their first mission hasn't even started and he's already getting the feeling that he isn't going to like it. "Let's try to be at least a little discreet about this hm? We don't need to go in and kill everyone."

To knock-out the whole level or levels we are going to need something that packs a ‘really’ big punch. ” She unconsciously brings to sub her chin with her hand as her ponders the situation.

Thermals aren’t going to do it, nor will any kind of convential bomb…” She mumbles quietly before lifting her head up and snaps her fingers,

We can use the buildings own reactors. Disabling the containment field within the reactors should cause a big enough boom to knock out their operations. Though I would imagine the containment field is pretty well protected. Say some high yield photonic explosives, placed along the reactor should do the trick. However…” Says R.C., as she pauses for brief second before continuing. “Photonic explosive are a bit sensitive. Not any Joe-Blow should handle them or they risk blowing up himself and everyone around him.

Vincent raises an eyebrow in the direction of the obnoxious woma- er R.C. "Men are all the same obsessed with blowing things up, oh wait!" He thinks to himself.

He turns back to Caine, "So do we have any intel on the layout of this place on the inside? Do we have any idea what might really be going on inside? How far bellow the surface the underground sections are? Personel numbers? What about potential points of entry?"

Cyd runs a hand through his short-cut black hair as he considers RC's suggestion. "If we rig the reactors to blow, we better make damn sure we are well away before we set them to go off. Otherwise, we'll all end up as bantha poodoo."
