Cosmere RPG: "Plotweaver™ System" and an OGL

Do you have any thoughts on this? Do you have any interest in making adventures, heroic paths, or other content for the "Plotweaver™ System"? Do you think anyone else will? Or do you think the OGL will ultimately gather dust, whether or not non-commercial content goes anywhere? Is it possible for a unique TTRPG system created for a licensed game to have life breathed into it outside that licensed IP?
I am not interested in this system, so I won't be creating anything (no big loss, I am not very prolific ;) ). I do expect people will, mostly fans however, not 3pps, given that the license seems to be non-commercial.

Can it expand outside its IP, I guess, esp. given that you cannot use the IP anyway.... if the system is sufficiently generic that should be doable, I am not sure why they already start with 2 rulebooks and add additional ones for other worlds, so that might indicate that it is not all that generic, but not sure, know too little about it

They are planning a commercial grade OGL, actually.

So, the Skill-ropl based system means that in play, things should work together smoothly between worlds at the table, but the nature of the career talent trees means that there is not much crossover for the crunch of the two worlds.

The Stormlight RPG will have 6 basic career paths, plus the 9 Knight Radiant paths, for a total of 15 careers that need a full talent tree that can be mixed and matched with others.

The Mistborn RPG will have different base career paths (wh in they confirmed in an interview, which makes a lot of sense given how different the worlds are), plus they will apparently be providing talent trees for all 16 magical metals...for both systems of magic in that world. So 32 magical career paths (though they did say those would be less expansive, which also makes sense given the details of the magic).

None of those 32 talent trees would work for Rosharan characters, just as none of the 9 Knogjt Radiant careers would worn for Scadrian characters, it would all be useless information for pute Stormlight or Mistborn campaigns. However, in play, the two kinds of characters can interact successfully without issue at the table.

The more I dive into the system, the more impressed I am. It isn't "generic" like say GURPS, where you can simply apply it to anything, but the bones of the system can accommodate radically different narrative structures through the core d20 mechanic.

So Brotherwise has made a Plotweaver set of social media accounts now, and they have updates the website with color art:

So Johnny O'Neal has stated on Reddit, sharing a BlieSky thread he put up recently, the following update on the open system plans here:

"One detail I should clarify: the mention of "OGL" was a bit flu-addled of me. We plan to release the Plotweaver system as an open SRD under a Creative Commons license (CC-BY 4.0). Our goal is to make this the most creator-friendly license around."

"We're already hearing from a number of former OGL creators looking forward to this system, some industry friends eager to take it for a spin, and even other game companies who want to create their next RPGs using Plotweaver. It's a really exciting time, and I can't wait to share some announcements at Gen Con!"

And don't he BlueSku thread, some Plotweaver design document bits:

I am looking forward to the SRD. I am intrigued by the system, but I do not care for Stormlight Archives as an RPG setting.

He posted the same on Threads as a reply to me asking which license.
