could Arcane Discipline turn a sorcerer into a cleric?

If a sorcerer chose the Arcane Discipline feat and selected the Healing domain, doesn't this essentially allow him to be a cleric since he would have access to all of the Cure spells?

Yeah, but they could only cast the spell once per day.

...and they have to have high wisdom, which is normally a dump stat for Sorcerers.

And they wouldn't be getting any of the numerous cleric goodies -- Turn Undead (and thus Divine Metamagic), D8 hit dice, no ASF/armor proficiencies, skill list, etc.

And feats are a precious resource for sorcerers, who get no bonus feats.

But yes, you could turn your sorcerer into a healer via the Arcane Disciple feat.

It's much sweeter for wizard, since you can then pile on Spontaneous Healer.

A Sorcerer can do this too. In either case, you are still limited in that you can only do it as many times per day as your Wis modifier.

It was pointed out to me that Spontaneous Healer allows you to use prepared spells in order to cast cure spells.

A wizard could cast one spell of each level of the Healing domain, plus a number of converted spells as above. That's about as many healing spells as usually get cast in a day. Obviously, such a character is no substitute for a real healer in some situations, but for regular hit point replacement duties, it would work fine.

AND these feats let a wizard or sorcerer to use wands of cure wonds spells, since they are now on their spell lists!
