Oh wow, it's exactly what I pictured it would be from the title. And I was not looking forward to being right.

The only way I'd see this working is as a full-fledged legacy sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

It's incredibly rare for a "studio buries movie/series" story to have a happy ending, so this is cause for celebration.

I think the spirit of a Roger Rabbit sequel was the Rescue Rangers movie, being a better movie that a lot of people gives credit to. Roger Rabbit was made with an enormous budget and lot of work that today a lot of companies wouldn't dare of risk to invest. Also, a lot of subtext, adult jokes, and so on, can't simply be made in a high business family movie, and no, no one will dare to make a mixed animation/live action movie that's rated R (Hello Cool World)

I really hope this one will be a good movie and a commercial success. I think a lot of metajokes will be made (like the classic "if he have money to buy ACME stuff, why not just buy food?" and so on).
