CR for deities/avatars?

Does anyone know of any CRs for the different deities in D&DG (and/or Faiths & Pantheons)? I know that they weren't listed "for a reason", and I did read that (unhelpful) paragraph about awarding XP for deity encounters in D&DG, but that didn't help me much. (And I do loathe to use the category "Creatures" for this particular question, but CRs/CR guidance are what I'm after...)

Anyone have any guidance on the matter?

Nope, sorry. And you're right: Creature doesn't really apply. Who about Creators?

The divine "template" adds tons of benefits to the deity in question.

I think by the time you want to unleas a god on your players, you should have a good picture of what they're capable of. You'll know their usual AC and attack bonuses, what spells and tactics they like to use, their saves, all that. I'd say fights like this should be very memorable, and you should tailor it to your party 100%.

But there are some guidelines for determining CRs and the like. The DMG should have them, and Savage Species has them. DMGII maybe?

The weapon focused fighters Hit the creature's AC 50% of the time.
The spellcasters get through the SR 50% of the time.
The fight should cost the party about 1/4th their resources.

Thats how a CR is determined.

Indeed. That doesn't help, though, when I'm doing adaptations.

I was more thinking along the lines of avatars, but since they're wholly based on the deity, I just used "deities". Oh well.

Thanks for the guidance, Kae'Yoss and frankthedm.

Various writers occasionally make minor powers into enemies in their campaigns. (Andy Collins had the patron of trogs as an encounter in his campaign, IIRC.) Generally, these are made to be CR 20 so that campaigns can finish pre-epic with a rousing fight against an avatar. ;)
