I wanted to see if I am correct about this. I have craft (armorsmithing) total +8(+6 skill and +2 MW tools). I want to make a set of MW studded leather piece. I believe it is 250 sp and a DC 13 for making the armor then 1500 and DC 20 to make it master work. The question is 2 part. I start the process by making SL first and roll a 12 for a total of 20. You then take the total roll and multiply it by the intial Dc of 13 to get 260, which is more than the total of the price to make(250) so it takes a week and costs 84sp. Then I start to make it MW and it will be 1500sp to make not 1500 + 250 am I correct about this? Lets say I think this is correct. I roll a 1 (yikes) and lose 1/2 of the 1/3 it takes to make it (250sp) and 1 week worth of time. I then try again and roll a 2 (it at least is getting better) so I lose 1/2 of 1/3 again so I am losing now (500sp) and 2 weeks. By this time I am pretty peeved but I preservere. I try again and this (I kid you not) I get a 4 so I lose 250sp more and 1 more week. So I have spent 4 weeks and spent a total of 834sp. At this point the frustration is getting the better of me. Can I stop now and try to make it MW at a later date or do I keep trying in the vain hope of making it MW in a couple more weeks. Lets say that I even get a 20 on next roll for a total of 28 it is still only 560 which is a little more than 1/3 of the work needed to complete it so I would still have to get lucky to make in 2-4 more weeks. I know this is long but does this whole process sound accurate?
