I edited the post to add the Ululatrix and the archfiends from the Book of Vile Darkness web enhancement.

I hope this is helpful.

Edited post to include the fey creatures from Dragon #304 and the obsidian and ruby (Sardior) dragons from the Mind's Eye column.

Technically, the dracolisk is in the MM1: the dracolisk found in the CotSQWE is an advanced fiendish half-black dragon basilisk (i.e., a sample of two templates +advancement rules), not a new creature in its own right like the foulwing.

Another template can be found in the book section on Wizards.com. The Jordain-born template (+ prestige class), result of, erm, halruaan mage genetic tinkering in order to get Dune-like mentats ?

Good catch on the Jordain-born template, Gez.

True about the dracolisk. I just included it figuring I'd leave it up to the Creature Catalog folks to determine whether they wanted to add it to their locator or not.

Two monsters from WotC's site have disappeared ! The starsnake and halruaan behir are nowhere to be found.

However, a bit of googling (I had hoped to get the file from Google's cache if they were still there) revealed that they had been archived on Candlekeep.com:

http://www.candlekeep.com/library/articles/beasts.htm

This raise the question whether they should still be in the locator or not, at least under WotC's web.

Interesting. WOTC seems to periodically "lose" material from the books section of their web site. Sean K. Reynolds was having a difficult time locating some of his contributions to that section when he last redesigned his own site.

I'll leave it up to the CC folks on whether they wish to include these missing monsters in the Creature Locator. I simply tried to save them some time by posting what I found that was currently missing from the Locator.

That seems to date back from the time when they changed their server architecture (now, URLs have a look like "file.asp?x=path", before it was something else, and several links have gone missing).

This thread is handy to make comments about addition (or substractions...) to the CL.
