Well, last night was the series premiere of CSI New York. This thread is for people to discuss what they thought about it.
I really like it so far. Detective Mac Taylor (played by Gary Sinese) makes a great main character (I already like him a lot more than Horatio Caine), and the supporting cast seems pretty interesting as well. If the first episode is any indication, it looks like CSI New York could be a bit darker and gritter than the two other CSI series. I know that "gritty New York crime dramas" are an overused genre, but I'll definately be checking out this series some more.
The only thing I really didn't like was the overuse of blue filters on the camera lens. Still, it's something I can live with.
