Cure X Wounds Question

First, what is a typical world? We have Eberron, Midnight, Scarred Lands, Greyhawk, Oathbound, and many others. I honestly have no idea what a typical setting is.

Ignoring that, the PCs are where the game is focused on. I have no idea if cure spells are being used on miner, fishermen, lumberjacks, etc becasue that never comes up. So, it's adventurers that get the most.

Why assume it's the adventurers when they constitute a small minority of the population?

Depending upon the setting, the economy and the magic rules, they may very well nevertheless be the largest single intersection of need and access to the spells.

Because you're otherwise being rather vague, Mythus.

What are you trying to ask?

"In a standard D&D game world, how do you envision the normal distribution of Cure spells? Who would they be cast on most frequently? What about on the local scale versus the national scale?"

(or)

"Amongst people who have regular access to Cure spells, such as adventurers, who are they cast on most often?"

(or)

"In a typical D&D game world, who casts Cure spell most frequently?"

I said what I meant, and I meant what I said. Unlike university, in the real world you don't have to deconstruct everything you read.

Now re-read the original post, and assume when you see the word "world" it refers to the game world as a whole, and everyone and everything living in that world who could, conceivably profit from the application of any of the five cure wounds spells.

More often than you would think a question only asks what it asks.

Quite often, a question is based upon the assumptions of the person asking it. In this case, each DM's assumptions about the nature of a "typical" gameworld and the availability of magic within it will differ. Without knowing what your assumptions are, or at least whether or not you care what our assumptions are, it is impossible to provide an unqualified answer to your question.
