Curious about your present Party Composition

Currently playing in a Kenzer game.

Viljar (me) - Male Human cleric 5
Jumar - Male Elven wizard 4
Osric - Male Human barbarian 1 / Martial Artist 4
Shinfel - Male Human ranger 5
Adalia - Female Gnome Psy Warrior 1 / Bard 2 / Rogue 1

So far we are doing pretty well with three front line type (my cleric prefers to get in close instead of just casting spells) and to missle weapon type.

In addition since the wizard focuses on the less flashy spells it ocassionally falls onto the Cleric to deal out the blasting spells. The Kalamar Players Guide has a few including Flash of Lightning and Thunderclap that do the job very well. We would have long since been toast a couple times over if not for those spells and my judicious use of them.

One half-elf ranger. That is all.

A friend and I are trying to get back into gaming, so we're starting slow, but having fun. His ranger gets to meet all kinds of interesting people!

Currently running a homebrew setting:

"Rhiannon" - Female Human Ranger 4/Fighter 4/Paladin 9: She took these levels in pretty much that order, having never strayed from the path of paladinhood since she was converted into the Order of Azaria.

"Terathramus" - Half-Celestial(/Elf) Cleric 7/Fighter 4/Divine Agent 1: He was partially responisible for converting Rhiannon so long ago... and they recently married (though he has now been summoned away to serve their Godess Azaria in other ways).

"Taluun" - Human Wizard 14/Archmage 1: Kind of an eccentric young man whose heavily into magic item construction and plane travel.

"Asimar" - Half-Drow Sorcerer 8/Cleric 5: Also a servant of Azaria, though always trying to atone somehow for the wicked nature of his ancestors.

"Khazdand" - Dwarven Cleric 9/Divine Oracle 3/Contemplative 3: The only servant of a different diety in the party, Khazdand faith revolves largely around divinations.

"Zabora" - Half-Elven Fighter 6/Barbarian 6: A chaotic bundle of fearsome rage in a slip of a girl with a belt of strength and a really big sword.

"Jade Nightshade" - Human Paladin 14: Also a servant of Azaria, he recently married a Queen of the Elves... though her people care little for his human religious credentials.

"H. Talbour Shackleton, M.D." - Human Psion 13: A student of science and medicine amongst the Outer Planes, Shackleton is an explorer and a devotee of the Society of Sensation.

Regardless of the utilitarianism of a balanced party, I stress the privelage of the individual player to explore his/her own ideas. The heavy religious bent was a surprise, much of the conversion occurring in character, but it works. Besides... a talented rogue would likely be highly unappreciated by all the lawful good priests and paladins. ;)

Lets see, the deck of many things owned our group a bit, so now we have

Bramble Goldfinger- Dwarven fighter 13
Tom BadgerClaw- Gnome Cleric of Gond 9
SWON (someone with out name) 1: Evoker 9
SWON 2: Summoner (or whatever its called) 9

Yah, our party is a little shaky with no thief, but usually SWON 2 just summons stuff to set off whatever traps Goldfinger sees in the stone walls.

Running through RttToEE:

T'Rnock - Level 6 Dwarf Fighter
Rodric - Level 6 Human Paladin
Hobbin - Level 2/4 Halfling Rogue/Wizard
Ruby - Level 6 Rogue
Broud - Level 1/4 Half-Orc Barbarian/Wizard
Princess Elena - Level 6 Human Cleric of Istus

NPCs - Xaod

Elven monk 2/wizard 2, Shining Hand of Azuth

Gnome rogue 4, a trapsmith that dabbles in alchemy as well

Human courtier 4, a ladies' man

Human Fighter 3/Sorc 1, big arabian guy with a great scimitar going for dragon disciple

Elven druid 4 of Mielikki, really bleeding heart healer type

And, soon to be joining us,

Human Psion (shaper) 4, nerdy smart guy from silverymoon

They just joined the Harpers, and we're going to start playing again once the fall semester gets going.

The party I game with:

Human Male Bard 4/ Fighter 1
Human Female Ranger 4
Human Male Barbarian 4
Human Male Fighter 4
Elven Male Fighter 5(?)
Human Male Commoner(?) 3(?)

Guess which two are the NPCs. The commoner doesn't get involved in the story too often. He usually just cowers at the rear. Long story on why he's with us.

No, we have no cleric. Yes, it's a Ravenloft campaign. At least the bard has Cure Light and Cure Moderate Wounds.

In the game I run:

Corwin, human Barabarian/Fighter/Frenzied Berserker
Parn, human Cleric formerly of Mayaheine, now of Orcus
Slim Bigtoe, halfling Rogue/Ranger/Barbarian/Fighter
Echibennezar, dwarf Wizard
"Chops", human Monk
Stormgar, human Fallen Paladin/Blackguard

All of the PCs are Fiendish through a plot device involving Orcus.

In the game I play in:

Human Fighter/Rogue/future Master of Chains
Halfling Monk/Rogue
Air Genesai Wizard
Elf Fighter (ranged)
Aasimar Paladin
Aasimar Cleric

I play in three games currently

Drow Ranger (or fighter) 3
Human Druid 4
Half-Orc Monk 5
Human Cleric 5

Homebrew campaign

Sirithdil, Elven Ley Line Walker 3 (homebrew variant of Monte's Sorcerer)
Trang Half-Orc Barbarian 5
Artimus Sendant Human Rogue 5
Kerith Human Druid 5
Rayek Human Ranger 4

Good party, does well in and out of combat, longtime gaming group. They never, ever, ever decide to play a cleric...:(
