Current Favorite Class?

So what's your current favorite class and why?

For me, it's still pretty much the fighter in standard D&D. Terrible skill points and saves outside fort suck, but the customization is pretty straightforward.

My last characters though...

fighter

cleric of tempus

rogue-paladin-shadowbane inquisitor

fighter-mage-eldritch knight

cleric of the morning lord

elf rogue

Couple others there in the mix I'm sure. And as can be seen, fighter's aren't necessarily the class I play most. I just think that they're easy to mix and match, to customize.

Of course those are only classes I've used as a player recently. As a GM of the Shackled City... quite a different list.

Fighter first, Wizard second, Rogue/Assassin third, Cleric fourth.

From d20 stuff, I'd say Executioner (Iron Heroes), Magister (Arcana Evolved), Harrier (IH) and Armiger (IH).

The last characters I've played include

hill dwarf barbarian/fighter

human warmage

shifter monk

human monk/unfettered

human exalted monk

...it's not that I'm a huge fanboy of monks, but I had to drop out of the game with the exalted monk, so when I was able to come back I played the monk/unfettered because I still wanted to explore the concept. Then that campaign was cancelled, so I started a shifter monk in a different campaign. Then I realized that I was playing the wrong sort of character for such a mercenary campaign, so I made the warmage.

Never did get to play out that cool monk concept. That was pretty disappointing. Actually, my play experience in general this year has been disappointing. Luckily, I've had great fun DMing.

EDIT: Hah! Forgot to answer the original question. Favorite class...hmm. I'm not sure that I have a single favorite class. For me, it's more about having favorite concepts. For instance, the PC I played before the dwarf was an orc shaman (barbarian 1/druid 7/nature's warrior 1). He was a ton of fun to play. The human monk/unfettered was cool too, because I was headed toward shadowdancer.

Right now my favorite class is the Druid class. I am playing them in two different campaigns. Also note, I am NOT one of those people who think that the Druid class is broken (I am not trying to change the subject, but merely pointing out my stance). I think the reason that I am really into Druids right now is because I LOVE nature and all the things included within nature. I love that my PC can change into a Perigrin Falcon and fligh above (really high) the melee and still be able to use my magic since I took the feat Natural Spell. I love that I can fight in my natural elven form equally as well. (I am starting to ramble :p )

Anyhow, my favorite class right now is the Druid class. :D

Rogue. I prefer skills over combat, mainly because the groups I have been in over the years prefer spellcasting and warrior characters. So, the rogue is an enjoyable option for myself.

Fighter-rogue is for when I feel more like having serious combat options.

In d20 my favorite class is rogue, both as a player and as a GM - two flanking rogues is pure fun, as is the tumble skill! Speaking of skills, a massive amount of skill points can't hurt either.
If we're just talking "favorite class as a player character", I'd have to say psion - power and flexibility of the class are great, and I prefer psionics over spellcasting.

Outside of d20 my favorite class at college has been "Antisemitism in Post-WW2 Germany", based on "Elements of Antisemitism" (Dialectic of Enlightenment) by Adorno and Horkheimer. But did you really want to know? ;)
