If you end up being one of the dragonmarked races and want to take a dragonmark, let me know and I'll tell you what your options are.

The mark of healing sounds useful, but I won't be playing a halfling. It's either human or one of the four new races.

Hmm... Maybe we could work my total ignorance of the setting into my character's backstory. Someone with booklearning only and no clue of how things *really* are, for instance.

While he has no direct healing powers, he could create scrolls, and later (2nd level) potions, of healing. However, that takes the typical amount of time for item creation, and thus is not very useful in emergencies.

He can make them in advance, if they're cheap enough for him.

Pretty much, though I can also add Repair Light Wounds to my spellbook, so that I could provide some small amount of "healing" for myself.

Well, between that and the Artificer at least one of the tanks will be taken care of. It's the rest of the party I'm worrying about.

I've decided to try the warforged wizard - originally meant to be a wizard/fighter, it came out of the forge as only a wizard with mithral lacing (15% failure for spells with somatic components).

That's going to be interesting... A built-in chance for spell failure that you can never get rid of?

I am a bit stumped on the name, which I'm normally not... tentatively I'm going with Flawed, because that is what it thinks it is. But I'm not quite happy with that.

Break out your thesaurus. "Broken," perhaps?

That could be easy - make your character have amnesia. ;)

Yep - though I'm not sure if my wizard should count as a "real" tank. ;)

Yep. A normal warforged would have a 5% spell failure and a +2 armor bonus - a mithril one has 15 and a +5 armor bonus

Thank you and Ashy for the suggestions. I've actually considered Error, as a kind of memory to the days of "Adventure of Link", where one guy says "I am Error." :D

:) You're most welcome - I really like Dent, personally. ;)

Here's my initial stab at Rawhide - gotta work out a few more things, and add the background. KL, please let me know if the whole stolen mace is okay - I will work it into my background and you can feel free to use it to the best of your DM advantage! ;)

Key:
Stats in Blue = Shifting ONLY
Stats in Yellow = Raging ONLY
Stats in Green = Shifting AND Raging :]

[smallcaps]Rawhide[/smallcaps]
Male Shifter Bar1; Size M; HD 1d12+2 [[1d12+3]]; hp 14 [[15]] [[16]] [[17]]; Init +2 (+2 Dex); Spd 30 ft. Description and Personality: Prone to wild fits of yowling rage and terrifying bouts of anger, Rawhide is everything that his name infers him to be. The coal black, burly and bushy shifter is more often than not semi-intelligible, but one thing cannot be denied – that he is a force of nature in battle. When his blood becomes churned by the heat of battle, there is very little – wound or word that can pull him off of his intended victims (and occasionally, his friends)!
