[D&D 4e] IG's "The Witchlight Strand"

Druthruss notices the shaman and the crossbows and boots at the door next to him and gets behind it if it opens (I10) shielding himself from the crossbows or if its doesn't open then well, he will just have to stand there, hope the wagon is in the way or just take it.

He takes a shot at the Orc shaman which travels straight and true (due to his Dwarven marksmanship obviously ;) ) and gets a good hit and hopes he has put a more than a sting into him.

[sblock="Combat"]
Basics attack: Rolled 25 to hit and 9 damage.
Move to I10 if possible and get complete cover from crossbow orcs.
Free reload.

out of curiosity, how much cover does that cart provide from the bows? and how much cover would N1 provide from same if Vatan moves to E5? and finally, assuming that Jude will remain concerned with one or both bowmen, would N1 and G1 still be alive for my turn?

[sblock=OOC]The cart can provide normal cover (-2 penalty to attack rolls). If, by N1, you really mean T1, T1 will provide zero cover for you against the bows since allies never grant cover to enemies. So B2 will have cover from you, but not you from it. But you're a melee guy, so that really doesn't matter.

T1 and G1 aren't going anywhere for a while, unless someone does something impressively nasty. No, that's not a challenge. ;)[/sblock]

Okay....Balls to the Wall and all that.....

"Ach, lad, 'twas but a mere scratch. I be right grateful nae'less. Now t'be teachin' these scum some proper manners!" as Vatan moves to E5 and swings his sword from high left to low right, aiming to strike through T1 and into G1

move = shift to E5
Standard= Cleave T1 and G1
att: vs T1 1d20+7=18

Aridha steps forward and calls forth another lightning bolt at a distant orc, but the confusion of battle throws her aim off, and the fork of electricity merely carves out a divot in the turf next to it!

(Storm Spike at B2, but only rolled a 7 to hit.)

Jude moves forward and slashes at the closest orc, the blow wild, but he manages to draw the creature's attention

Pier draws his dagger and moves up to the door, summoning a gout of flame in the midst of his foes. The weakest of them falls into a screaming, writhing heap, while the leader is uneffected. The other most certainly felt it, but shrugs it off.

Aridha summons another bolt of lightning. While the arc was impressive, it was a bit off mark.

O'Beth maintains his protective zone while a quick prayer for Vatan puts him back into the battle.

Druthruss kicks open a door and uses the walls for cover. From inside, he launches a bolt at the shaman and pierces his bicep.

Jude moves in closer to engage the archers, but his wild swing misses.

Vatan moves up to the largest of the orcs and swings his sword wide. He opens up an impressive gash in the orc, and his momentum carries the blade through to kiss the shaman as well.

Jude's target backs off and looses his ready bolt. Thankfully the fighter is deft enough to see it coming and sidestep out of the way.

The other archer drop its crossbow in favor of an axe, and quickly shows Jude how diverse these orcish warriors really are. The axe comes down hard on Jude's off hand, and his arm goes numb as the nerves and tendons are surely severed.

The large orc swings wildly at Vatan with is equally large falchion. Even though the attack misses, the large grin upon the orc's face suggests he's shaken off the pain from Vatan's own attack. "Again!" the orcish shaman yells as he backs away, and the brute swings his heft blade once more, this time nearly felling Vatan with a solitary blow.

Seeing the orc leader savaging his friend, Pier shouts, "Klamarra taraes invocum morte cimaran echendi!" He strikes the ground with his staff and unleashes a beam of energy in the general direction of his enemy.

"That dirty son of a goblin must have taught me the spell wrong!"
