[D&D 4e] IG's "The Witchlight Strand"

Need moves from Shayuri and renau1g

My days off are Fridays and Saturdays now, so I'll try to make those my regular update days. I know I said Mondays and tuesday, but they changed my days almost immeidately after I made that decree. Go figure...

jkason, have I told you how much I adore Weel and the way you play him? Top-notch RPing!

"Elf! Move behind this creature" the woman calls out, gesturing to Aridha.

Once the elf moves into position, Gwendolynn's dagger flashes out with lightning speed and into the orc's gut, she twists and pulls the blade out, scoring a vicious blow.

*I was waiting for Shayuri, hoping Aridha will move into a flank.

*Delay until after Aridha

Minor:
Move: shift to j10
Standard: Piercing Strike - vs ref; dmg; SA dmg (1d20+10+2=27, 1d4+5=7, 2d6+2=9) hits ref 27 for 16 damage...

Resources used: Dazing Strike

Elf? Aridha thinks wryly. I suppose we haven't had much in the way of introductions yet after all.

Regardless, she twists her canine body to the side, flanking the orc, then darts in, trying to find a spot to sink her teeth into!

(Move to flank, then Savage Rending but I waive the slide this time. :))

(CRIT! 12 damage. Hee, oh, to be a striker. :))

Surrounded, the terrorblade has little room to move as the trio of Druthruss, Aridha, and Gwendolyn hit him with all that they have. Eventually the attacks prove to be too much, and the battle-hardened orc finally falls.

"Coward!" the orc boss screams as Pier flees. Kranaak didn't even notice that he was the last living orc on the battlefield, nor would he have been surprised if he had. Now, since the mage was gone, the tusked warrior accepts Vatan's challenge, and turns to face him, swinging his deadly axe along the way. The blade carves a deep gash into Vatan's armor, and into his flesh underneath. The fighter staggers but doesn't go down. Finally, as Vatan begins to process what is happening to him, Kranaak again plants his signature boot into the fighter's chest. Vatan flies backwards and lands with a thud, knocking what may prove to be one of his final breaths from him.

Kranaak quickly changes his focus as he notices Weel, and remembers the scars he will surely carry from the man's acidic magics. He charges with a flash, but somehow Weel blunders out of the way.

Weel Naxel, human artificer

Weel's eyes grow wide as the orc charges him, and he stumbles back a step onto the corpse of the terrorblade. He glances down, and his fear turns into a slightly-crazed grin.

"We killed all your bad, bad friends, and Bytsab knows what your blood tastes like, yes, and how to find it. He's a good one, Bytsab, and he's going to show all our new friends where the best place to bite is," he says. He throws the javelin the short distance to the orc, where it tears a small gash in his side before flying back to Weel's hand. As it returns, there does, indeed seem to be a low hum emanating from the javelin which is echoed by the weapons (and in Aridha's case, sharp teeth) of those standing next to him.

[sblock=actions]Move: shift to J9
Standard: Magic Weapon vs. Kranaak

Magic Weapon vs Kranaak AC; damage (1d20+8=22, 1d6+4=5)

I believe that hits, for 5 damage. Kranaak will take another 4 if he attacks Weel before the start of Weel's next turn (White Lotus Riposte).

All adjacent allies (Druthuss, Aridha, and Gwen) get +1 to attacks and +3 to damage TENT[/sblock]

[sblock=resources used]Encounter: Scouring Weapon, Healing Infusions (both), Second Wind
Daily: Action Point [/sblock]

Vatan flies backwards and lands with a thud, knocking what may prove to be one of his final breaths from him.

[sblock=Figures]
Yeah, no surprises there :) At least he got a decent hit in at the end (maybe)....He couldn't let another fall victim like Jude while he pause for a breath.

It's all good, Korash. As long as your buddies kill Kranaak and get you to safety before you fail two more, you'll be fine! ;)

GM: Midgardsormr, renau1g, Shayuri, Redrobes; hurry, Vatan needs you!

Note: I'm really not in a hurry... far be it for me, of all people, to rush anyone along! I just know that this game is easy to forget about sometimes because I tend to procrastinate so long between updates.
