[D&D 4e] IG's "Those Left Behind, Chapter 4(e)"

Shazi fades back into view and soars into the air, clearly exultant to be back outside. Talashia steps out at a more sedate pace, and glances back.

"All right, lets get some rest, then hike back to the city. Something happened down there, and we need to find out what."

She reaches the stream and soaks Uulark's cloth in it, then presses it against her burned skin again with a sigh of relief.

Rogash

The dwarf finds himself lost in a reverie as the warm sunshine hits his face. The romping of the dog and dog nee druid breaks the reverie and he smiles. He drops to his knees at waters edge to wash the dust, blood and black pudding away.

Uulark also avails himself of the water and slakes his thirst as well as submerges his head luxuriantly.

Shaimon Hu'u, druidic human ranger

The oversized puppy that is Shai, dripping from having walked halfway into the water to drink, shakes himself off. The water is quickly joined by his fur, and at the end of the affair, Shai is once again human. He falls backward on the grass, looking up to the sky as he says, "Sleep. Can we sleep first? I know it's daytime, but ... gods, I don't 'member when I've been so tired."

OOC: I think we're all agreed on a rest, but it's a matter of whether we're taking a short rest or an extended one. I'd vote for the latter, myself: burn our surges to get back to full, then start back to town after we've restored all our powers. But as usual, Shai's happy to defer to others as long as he at least gets his 'nap' in. ;)

Rogash

"Rest would be good yes. I'm spent." He sighs resignedly as he considers where back in the dungeon he lost track of the excellent keg they found.

"One of the first things they taught you in the army is catching sleep when you need it," says Buurt. "Ain't up to the Sun, it's up to the meat."

Uulark Simental, Longtooth Shifter Cleric of Sehanine L11

"I could certainly do with as much rest as you can stand to let me have." ;)

The soothing sound of the trickling stream comforts you as you take a much needed rest. The autumn air turns crisp as the sun begins to make its descent, and soon nightfall is upon you.
