Creature 1 Damage (Claw): (1d4+2)[3]

Creature 2 Attack (Claw/Claw/Bite): (1d20+4)[18] (1d20+4)[21] (1d20+4)[10]
Creature 2 Damage (Claw/Claw): (1d4+2)[6] (1d4+2)[5]

Brue: 8/37
Creature 1: -6/??
Creature 2: 00/??

Brue leveled a devastating swing at one of the troglodytes, tearing a bloody cut across its hide. Screaming in pain, it recoiled from her blade, managing only a single swipe of its claws across her arm. With her attention so focused on the first creature, the second creature used the opportunity to dig two claws into her back, managing to dig deeply into her flesh in a gap in the chain shirt. She knew she was heavily wounded, but realized if she could take one of the foes down, the other would be far more manageable.

[section] Brue swung hard at the injured troglodyte. She hadn't wanted to harm either creature, but she was badly injured and she was desperate. She put all her strength into the blow.[/section]

GM: Round 4

Creature 2 Damage (Claw/Claw): (1d4+2)[5] (1d4+2)[6]

Brue: 4/37
Creature 1: Dead
Creature 2: 00/??

Digging deep, Brue tapped into her mental reserves, fortifying herself to finish this fight. Ilmater, grant me the grace to end this creature's existence without suffering. With the prayer complete, the genasi took a tight grip on the long sword and swung at the troglodyte with great strength. Realizing it would never be able to avoid the attack, the reptilian humanoid held up its claws as if to block the swing. The leathery hide stood no chance against the blade's sharpness or the woman's strength. As the sword whistled through a complete arc, the creature's claws and head dropped to the floor of the outcropping, cleanly severed.

On instinct the other troglodyte pressed its own attack, digging into the same wounds it made previously. Uninjured, it must have though it still stood a chance.

OOC: Hilarious overkill. The attack by itself without the crit would have killed an uninjured troglodyte.

OOC: I think Brue should be at 10 hp. I think in Round 3 you had her at 10 hp, but she should maybe have been at 8 hp And then she used Second Wind to regain 13 hp, which put her at 21 hp. And then this round she suffered -11 hp, leaving her at 10 hp? Also, it's not immediately clear to me that disadvantage was applied to the trogs' attack rolls for the round that Brue dodged.

[section] Brue tried to crush the troglodyte attacking her backside against the nearest stone outcropping. She slammed her back against the rock, hoping to catch the creature unaware, and then she spun and swung at the reptilian.[/section]

OOC: That's just descriptive fluff. Really, she just swings her sword to attack.
