Free Materials

  • Dungeons & Dragons Basic Rules -- The Basic Rules for Dungeons & Dragons is a PDF (over 100 pages, in fact) that covers the core of the game. It runs from levels 1 to 20 and covers the cleric, fighter, rogue, and wizard, presenting what we view as the essential subclass for each. It also provides the dwarf, elf, halfling, and human as race options; in addition, the rules contain 120 spells, 5 backgrounds, and character sheets. [reviews]
  • Rise of Tiamat Online Supplement -- 38 pages of magic items, monsters, and spells.
  • Elemental Evil Player's Companion -- Not inherently evil, elemental power can be mastered by those with both malevolent and benign intentions. The Elemental Evil Player’s Companion provides everything players need to build a character that is tied directly into the Elemental Evil storyline. New race options include the aarakocra, deep gnome, genasi, and goliath. Additionally, a plethora of new spells put the elements directly at your command.

[lq]Let's say we wanted to do psionics. We'd tie that to a campaign you can play, maybe one centered on mind flayers or a similar foe. The psionic sourcebook would be the player's companion to the DM's mind flayer campaign. The sourcebook would have all the info for creating psionic characters, along with world material for players who are creating characters for the mind flayer campaign. The player's book might also have a chapter written from an in-world perspective on psionics and psionic monsters, the kind of information that a character might have access to or have heard. You can expect us to do one or two such products a year, to give people enough time to play through a campaign without overwhelming them with new options.

Dungeonscape fall 2015 is that some mistake, shouldn't it be 2014, or have people a year to wait for it to come out?

Pretty sure the Necromancer products are delayed, since the DMG is delayed, and they want to check stuff. It was in a thread here, IIRC.

The two free entries from Mithgarthr Entertainment, "Stonefast" and "The Sylvan Temple", both appear to no longer be available. I'm getting a 404 error when I try to access them from the Mithgarthr site.

Does anyone know if the new books from Necromancer games (5th Edition Foes) will be avaible at FLGS? I was not able to do the kickstarter and would love to pick these up if they will be available at retail.

I find it a bit sad that we have reached the end of this schedule without anything new to expect.

Seems insane that we have no idea of an upcoming product? Any rumors?
Nope. Just speculation. the only thing tied to D&D coming out this year that has been announced is the Swod Coast Legends video game. No exact date, only that it is coming out in 2015.

Since we know that WotC wants one or two stories a year and that those stories will englobe multiple types of products, we can expect another AP to come out when the video game will come out and that they will share some story elements if not a lot.

You can find Stonefast here: http://mithgarthrentertainment.com/downloads/Stonefast.pdf

The Sylvan Temple has been taken down, as it appears in its final, more polished form in this: www.rpgnow.com/product/148018/ME504--Campaigns-in-Cairnvarthi

Thanks for your interest!
