D&D 5E D&D Basic rules...on the 3rd on the 15th?

The character creation rules will be released on the 3rd (when the starter set is available in WPN stores). The rest of the basic ruleset will be released in August with the Player's Handbook. However, Mearls just pointed out in the 'unboxing' yesterday that the Basic rules will be a little in flux until the DMG is finished later in the fall.

Also in the unboxing video, Mearls said they probably won't even get to version 1.0 of the Basic rules until the end of the year.

In other words, the release of the Basic rules on 3rd July 2014 will be something like version 0.1; but they haven't yet decided exactly how they will designate the various releases of that.

So that's why Tyranny of Dragons will be released along side of the Player's Handbook. I wonder if the stats released in these adventures will match those in the Monster Manual, which isn't due to October. If not, I imagine they will be very close.
