God yes.

Can't wait to try out the game table
I'm looking forward to the Rules Compendium. I always have my tablet at the game table and it's more compact than a stack of books.

Hopefully, it's also quicker and easier.

This is why I recently went looking for news that the DDI was on-target and on-schedule (and apparently, it's not, *sigh* -- on the other hand, maybe I should go looking for stuff more often, it seems my query provoked a response! Or at least, I can dream of mattering so...) to launch with 4e hard copy.

On the one hand, yes -- complete and unbuggy late is better than buggy on time, buggy on time at least ensures that it doesn't just get forgotten about and cast aside like Master Tools.

Why isn't there a mention of how long the beta will last? Grr! I think we can all agree that it had better last at least 2 weeks to a month after the release of the character generator and digital table, elsewise it's of kind of dubious value as a preview.

my guess is they planned to release it, but then decided that gamers were actually waiting in line to point out any and every fault... So they delayed it to let us help them correct the fauklts before it's "too late"

So...Does the Beta start now? Or....what?

I think it starts in June. They are still finishing out the last of the 3.5e materials, including my first published article for an RPG!

Well, congratulations, Shroomy!

Yes, it looks like early June (maybe not June 6 - wouldn't they have said so?) is the "launch date" for D&D Insider.
