The stealth check meme makes me think of how stealth never works in parties, because theres always the one or two people who refuse it sit back and wait while those with stealth go ahead.
Heaven forbid Sir Clunky leave his full plate armor at home and switch to breastplate for the recon mission.

Nobody has a problem with attuning their flametongue weapons when they're heading into Troll Canyon. But you'd think you were asking them to break the law if you suggest equipping leather armor for the Stealthy Heist adventure.

Even a breastplate is probably a 4-point reduction in AC; which is about as bad as granting every enemy advantage on attacks except they can still also get advantage.

The real challenge is convincing them that by not being seen, they won't need an Armor Class at all. "Wait...I won't need armor? Me? I won't need it? Like, we won't be fighting? Isn't that against the rules or something? Like we always fight, but you're saying we won't have to?!" and so on, for twenty minutes.

“You won’t have to fight until someone (anyone) fails a stealth check. You got a… +0, so you should definitely be able to count on making ten in a row. No need to considered the possibility that you’ll roll below a 15 once over the course of the entire adventure. After all, what are the odds of that happening?”
